Shout-Outs From Humber With Love.

One of the cool things about being an Alumni, that I still get a tingle from, is stopping by to hear some of what the school is up to in my absence. And usually, it’s about seeing the progression. Humber is no exception to the rule here. I would hear a bit about what was done in the Program Advisory Committee meetings, but nothing beats a good old fashioned hands-on update.

Humber’s Multimedia Design And Production Technician Program Coordinator, James Cullin(@cullin), decided to shout me out on his Friday Morning Update(December 16th, 2011) vlog post a few Fridays back. Thanks a bunch, sir! Wished we had these back in our 2003 run!

Shout-outs to Adam Chow’s work, also. That JQuery execution, on his site was pretty cool. I’m reading his Switch To Mobile piece as I wrote this.

#devTO Shows Their Holiday Spirit

We showed our Christmas spirit later in the game. The more Rudolphs, the better. This is pretty much from one of our planning meetings via Google+ hangout… or Power Rangers/Voltron Force All Talking At Once In Their Zords meeting. HTML5 fun with the canvas and video tags. Or is it?!

This could be a perfect time to thank those who have been with us thus far and have a safe and wonderful holiday! For those of you who have supported #devTO in contributing to #hohoto, we would also love to thank you guys for your support. :) We had a blast and attempted to rep the team as best as possible there. Especially with our shirts.

It’s @kevinkcodes, Dammit!

Hello, I’ve changed a bit recently. And no, it’s not the usual Caesar haircut I sport.

I can explain everything. And, really… I’ll try to be very, very, very brief about how I go about my name on twitter, and my site name.

My Twitter handle is now @kevinkcodes. No, I didn’t do this because of Twitter’s new do recently, but out of love for people who decide to call me “kevin-k-v-s”. I love @Kevinkvs dearly, but at the same time, I had more leg work to do inorder to keep @kevinkvs in terms of definition. I literally had to TELL people that it’s kevin-k-versus in short.

The whole kevinvs.net thing started in 2006 when I forgot to renew my old domain name, kevink.ca, having real estate agent, Kevin Kurjata, swoop in and claim the narrow victory he needed as some sort of gratification to his local business. I love his color scheme, too. I miss the domain name dearly. It rolled off the tongue easily and left nothing to the imagination. To digress, kevinvs.net was born out of a joke about me taking on the internet. Intentionally, it has always been kevinkversus in short.

Still, kevinkcodes reflects my latest moves in mobile and web as I begin the new year with hopes in producing my first mobile applications. Still follow if need be.
